TLR Coworking recently had the pleasure of experiencing an amazing sound meditation journey led by dear TLR Family member Franita.
On a recent Friday evening, TLR Coworking hosted its latest TGIF event featuring sound therapy with Franita – a unique and immersive experience that left attendees feeling relaxed and recharged.
Franita, a sound therapist and healer, brought an array of instruments including Tibetan bowls, a Tam Tam gong, wind chimes, and a Shamanic drum. Through the sounds of these instruments, attendees were able to escape reality and tap into a state of deep relaxation.
“Did you know that by being what society calls ‘unproductive’, you actually are being the most productive for yourself?” said Franita. And what better way to be “unproductive” than to meditate?
Franita urged everyone present to give it a try, even if they didn’t think they were the meditating type.
The result? All attendees decided to buy into the experience 100%, relaxing to the sound of uncountable Tibetan bowls, a huge gong, smooth wind chimes, and an impressive Shamanic drum.

The Science of Sound Meditation
Franita explained that eastern philosophies have long taught that the universe is made up of vibrations. But western societies only started taking notice when quantum physicists discovered that matter is energy.
“If sounds are vibrations and matter is energy vibrating, changing the rate of vibrations can powerfully impact matter, right?” said Franita.
“That’s why sound massages and meditations use sound waves that are tuned to your body’s unique vibrational frequencies. According to research, they work on both a physical and psychological level. So by working both together, you can start to heal holistically.”

How Can Sounds Affect Me?
Sounds can have a profound impact on our physical and mental wellbeing, explained Franita.
“Think how you feel when you hear the sea, birds tweeting, a baby laughing. Then consider the difference; hearing a phone ring, traffic, or radio static,” she said.
“Everyday, low frequency noises can have a negative impact on our bodies and minds. Loud or discordant sounds might lead to stress in our emotional and physical bodies, resulting in anxiety or depression. And this often manifests in physical ailments like chronic pain, inflammation, or illness.”

Sound Meditation as a Tool
Franita explained that meditation and sound therapy can be excellent methods of ridding your body and mind of the stresses caused by everyday sounds, everyday life, and everyday stresses.
“Considered a type of complementary medicine for mind and body, meditation can induce a state of deep relaxation and a calm mind. During meditation, you focus your attention, and eliminate the stream of confused thoughts that may be filling your mind, and causing stress.”
Floating on a Cloud
Franita’s journey through sound was a unique and powerful experience for all of the TLR Family members who attended the event.
It enabled the attendees to experience not only the healing power of sound, but also the benefits of mindfulness and meditation.
Owner of TLR Coworking, Ben Kolp, extended a huge thanks to Franita for leading the event.
“I would like to send all my gratitude to Franita, who didn’t shy away from the immense effort of bringing all her instruments to TLR in order to take us all on this unforgettable journey,” he said.

About Franita
A polyglot and self-confessed word addict, Franita has been a TLR Family member since May 2022.
Originally from France, Franita began to appreciate the spiritual side of sound when she started meditation classes in her 20s. She then went on to qualify as a sport and Indian head masseuse.
Later, Franita read about Christine Heckel’s intensive Peter Hess sound massage course. She then saw the exciting opportunity to combine both of her passions. She completed additional training on tailoring sound massages, mental wellness, and gong mastery.

One Response
I absolutely agree with the concept of the healing power of sound meditation. Sound has a profound impact on our emotions, well-being, and overall health. Sound meditation, with its soothing and rhythmic tones, can help alleviate stress, anxiety, and promote relaxation. The vibrations and frequencies emitted by sound instruments like singing bowls or tuning forks have a therapeutic effect on our bodies and minds. They can help balance our energy centers, improve focus, and induce a state of deep meditation.
