At The Living Room, creativity doesn’t stop at client calls and coworking desks – it spills onto the walls. This autumn, we’re proud to host our first-ever in-house art exhibition, celebrating the incredible talent within our own extended TLR community.
There’s always something brewing at The Living Room – and this autumn, it’s not just coffee. Our coworking walls have been transformed into a vibrant, rotating canvas of colour, energy, and raw emotion. For the first time ever, we’re hosting an in-house art exhibition featuring four talented artists from our extended TLR community.
The exhibition is open to the public Monday to Friday, from 9am to 6pm, and runs until December 16th, 2025. Just swing by reception, and you’re in.

Meet the Artists
From intricate, nature-inspired paintings to bold abstracts and striking portraitures, this exhibition captures the diversity, creativity, and soul of the people who make this space what it is.
The exhibition features works by:
- Caroline Gunston (UK) – @art_by_cag
- Ewa Uchacz (Poland) – @naif_artist1
- Mela Villalta (Spain) – @tallerdemelavillalta
- Lukas Walcher (Austria) – @lukas.walcher.artist

Behind the Canvas: Creative Journeys & Inspirations
For Ewa Uchacz, art isn’t just a personal passion – it’s a family legacy.
“My mum had a gift for fashion illustration, and her father – my grandfather, who sadly passed away the year I was born – was a passionate oil painter,” she shared.
When Ewa stumbled across his box of oil paints as a teenager, something clicked. She soon transitioned to watercolours and, over time, to more delicate mediums like coffee and Chinese ink-wash painting.
“Water-based techniques have always drawn me in: they feel lighter, harder to control, yet full of delightful surprises.”
Caroline Gunston’s path to painting was more winding. Originally trained in acting, directing, and lighting in New York, she moved into graphic design, photography, and filmmaking in the UK – picking up formal studies in writing, psychology, and philosophy along the way. But, after years at a computer screen, something was missing.
“I yearned to create in a more physical, tactile way,” she explained.
That desire eventually led her to study at London’s Art Academy and pursue a BA in Fine Art.

Though their paths differed, both artists share a strong emotional connection to the works they chose to exhibit. Caroline’s piece Expanse, which sold on opening night, was one such highlight.
“It was wonderful to see so many people there and to hear the other artists speak about their work,” she said.
“Getting to meet the buyers of my painting made the night extra special.”
Meanwhile, Ewa hopes viewers find moments of peace and reflection in her pieces.
“With the pandas, I wanted to spark a reminder: that slowing down isn’t laziness, that boredom isn’t the enemy. Stillness can be a gift – an opportunity to organise our thoughts, quiet the inner chaos, and truly be in the moment.”

Both also expressed their appreciation for showing at TLR.
“Ben and the TLR crew are very dear to me,” said Caroline.
“I joined just before lockdown, and I’ve felt like part of the family for over five years now – even during the times I wasn’t an official member.”
She noted that while the setting doesn’t change how she views her own art, “seeing it together with the work of other artists allows me to see how it can transform in relation to other pieces.”
Ewa echoed the sentiment. “It’s extremely special to be part of this exhibition. There’s something unique about seeing your work in a place where people gather to think, create, and connect.”

Ben’s Vision: Art as Atmosphere, Ecosystem, and Expression
This exhibition was the brainchild of Ben Kolp, Owner of TLR, who long envisioned a more artistic use for the space.
“Since our founding year in 2015, we’ve always looked for ways to collaborate with the local ecosystem,” said Ben.
“A great example of that is our Family Benefits program, where members get discounts and offers at local businesses. Supporting young and upcoming artists in Málaga by giving them access to exhibit their art furthers our mission to support the local community.”
The exhibition also fits perfectly with the larger TLR philosophy:
“We’ve always aimed at providing a different sort of office space – we actually never call it an office for that reason. A more relaxed environment allows the mind to be creative. And an art gallery inside our own space has taken that effect to a whole new level.”
Going forward, TLR plans to refresh the exhibition every three months. Artists – get in touch.
